Featured Listings Are Coming to ETX Discovered

ETX Discovered is a growing local business directory built specifically for East Texas — and it's about to get a lot more powerful for the businesses inside it. We're building out a featured listing product that puts select local businesses front and center for the East Texans actively looking for what they offer.

We're not opening featured spots yet. When we do, there won't be many of them — and that's intentional. A featured listing only means something when it's actually selective. We're taking our time to make sure the directory is at the right scale before we offer it, so that when your business is featured, people are actually there to see it.

One featured spot is available per category each month — and once it's taken, it's taken. If the Local Services spot for March is booked, the next available opening is April. We run it this way on purpose. When your business is featured in ETX Discovered, you're not competing for attention with three other featured businesses in your category.

You're the one.

Here's what it's going to look like.

What a Featured Listing Includes

Every featured listing in ETX Discovered is a fully built business profile — not a template you fill out yourself, but a page Sage Media builds for you. Here's what's included:

  • A dedicated business profile page with your full story

  • A photo gallery showcasing your business, products, or services

  • Your complete contact information — phone, email, and address

  • Links to your website and social media profiles

  • An embedded map so customers can find you easily

  • Priority placement at the top of your category and town page

  • Placement in the Featured Local Businesses section on the main ETX Discovered page

  • One month of featured spotlight — renewable monthly

Standard listings in the directory are intentionally simple — a name, a category, a town, and basic contact info. A featured listing is the full picture. It gives customers a reason to choose you before they've even visited.

How It Works

STEP 1

Reach out to Sage Media. Tell us about your business and when you'd like to be featured. We'll let you know when spots open and keep you in mind.

STEP 2

We build your listing. Once you're booked, Sage Media creates your full featured profile — no forms to fill out, no templates to wrestle with. We handle it.

STEP 3

Your business goes live. Your featured listing goes up at the top of your category, your town page, and the main ETX Discovered directory. East Texans looking for what you offer will find you first.

STEP 4

Your month runs. At the end of your featured month, you can renew to keep the spotlight or step back to a standard listing. Your profile page stays in the directory either way.

We're Not Taking Featured Listings Yet

We're not taking featured listings yet — but we will be. We'll open a limited number of spots once the directory reaches the scale to back it up. We're focused on building something worth being featured in first. If you want to be among the first businesses we reach out to when spots open, get in touch now and we'll keep you in mind.

Is Your Business in the Directory Yet?

Featured listings are built on top of a standard listing — you need to be in the directory first. If your East Texas business isn't listed yet, getting in is free and takes a few minutes. Start there, and when featured spots open, you'll already be inside.
